The monthly puja is held on the 3rd Saturday of every month from 5:30 -7:00 p.m. The sponsoring family sets up the altar, helps prepare the seating, and serves the prasaad as well as dinner to the devotees. The sponsoring family may conduct their own special puja from 5:30 – 6pm. General puja begins at 6:00 pm, while children’s puja begins at 6:30 pm. Aarti and conclusion of the puja is by 7:00 pm. The cost for sponsoring puja is $20 per family.

• Sign up on the monthly Puja notebook, by informing the President of the Temple, or by contacting a member of the Puja Committee. 

• The host family/ families help(s) in the set up and clean up. 

• Please bring the following disposable items on the day of the puja:  

• Styrofoam cups – 150 

• Styrofoam dinner plates – 150 

• Styrofoam bowls – 150 

• Plastic spoons-300 

• Dinner napkins-300 

• Aluminum foil 

• Ziploc bags-large and small 

• Trash bags-large 

• Cleaning solution- 409 or similar 

• Paper towels-one roll 

• Serving spoons / ladles 

• Warming lamps for the chafing dishes 

• Aluminum food trays –large 

• Knives to cut up fruit

• Please prepare food for 100-125 people. The suggestions are one rice item, one vegetable curry, one dal, yougurt / raita,  pickle/salad, drinking water, Prasad. Tea and dessert are optional. 

• Suggestions for puja saamagri: 

• Any statues / pictures of gods and godesses that you would prefer 

• Agarbatti 

• Ghee 

• Lamps and matches 

• Fruits

• Please help in the clean up after dinner and put the trash out.
